School Improvement Priorities 2025-2026

Priority 1:
Raise writing attainment across all year groups by embedding high-quality teaching, targeted support and a consistent, progressive writing curriculum with a particular focus on improving outcomes in writing for disadvantaged pupils.

Ensure all learners, including those with SEND, EAL, and disadvantaged backgrounds, can fully access learning through effective inclusion and adaptive teaching strategies.

Priority 3:
To improve phonics outcomes by ensuring that at least the same percentage of students as the national average demonstrate significant progress in phonemic awareness, blending, segmenting, and spelling by the end of Key Stage 1.

Embed Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction as a foundation for high-quality, evidence-informed teaching and strengthen monitoring and evaluation across subjects to support continuous improvement.
